Border Manifest Data Summary

The Border Center has tracked hazardous waste imports from Mexico to the U.S. since 2004. For approximately 18 months, data were tracked for all major ports of entry in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. However, since January 2006, our efforts have been limited to only tracking imports that enter the U.S. through the El Paso, TX.

Below are summaries of the Border Center manifest data. Table 1 and Figure 1 present data summaries for all the ports of entry for the time period of approximately January 2004 through June 2005. Figures 2 and 3 are summaries of data for the El Paso, TX port of entry for the time period given.
